Caring for your reborn doll.
Follow these simple tips!
Some dolls and reborn dolls have a magnet for the pacifier on their heads; magnets can be dangerous for people with pacemakers.
A reborn doll is a unique piece of craftsmanship. It is not a toy, it is a collector's item that, if treated properly, will remain intact for a long time. Read carefully the care you need.
Do not expose the doll to sources of heat, sun or the elements, the paint could deteriorate. Do not leave it in the car.
Do not touch the doll with dirty or creamy hands.
Clean the vinyl (head, arms and legs) with a soft, damp cloth only with water, and only when strictly necessary. Do not use chemicals such as alcohol, acetone, etc. Don't use baby wipes to clean it.
If you want to perfume it, do it only on the reborn doll's clothes, never on the hair, vinyl or body and preferably with alcohol-free cologne.
Handle the doll as if it were a real baby, with gentle movements. The head and limbs can be moved sideways, they can turn, but do it gently so as not to damage the whole.
Comb the doll without jerking, slightly moistening the hair with preferably distilled water. Use a toothbrush or soft brush. Comb in parts, never stretch; in case of knots, you can use alcohol-free hair conditioning liquid. It is preferable not to use hats, headbands, etc., since over time they deteriorate or shed the hair.
Vinyl can be stained by rubbing on dark or brightly colored clothing (jeans, new dark clothing, etc.). I recommend putting on socks or booties and mittens to avoid the appearance of stains (especially on the fingers).
The doll is filled with glass microspheres and miraguano, the eyes are usually made of glass. Handled by a child, it can become dangerous (it has parts that can be sucked and swallowed, parts that can break), I insist, IT IS NOT A TOY.
Before acquiring a reborn doll, verify that it fully meets your expectations, paying close attention to the published photographs.
